The service at the egerton house is terrific.although the rooms are small they are well equipped with amenities that are very helpful-plenty of writing supplies, bathroom towel warmer paper, bottled water, iron ...the little extras that are sometimes scant or lacking.the service was a+and we would definitely return.
The rooms are small -
To stay in town centre and being able to visit some museums.
Great location -a short walk to Harrods,V&A, and super little patisseries, restaurants and shops. Room had spacious bathroom with the lovely Penhaligon products.
well I loved the place and the staff specially, they even went with me to show the room and they kept asking of I need anything to insure my comfort. it was great!
the rooms are a bit small, and i see it a bit expensive but this is London after all.
Very high quality service by reception. So nice classic rooms, and fantastic atmosphere. It was a great experience.
Single and old elevator that is not consistant with the fanciness of the hotel. Little disturbing when someone walks out in the corridor.
Absolutely luxury hotel and professional staff,a lot of attention.
The english breakfast was average and very expensive.
Furnishings, decorating, comfort, all details exceptional!! Staff very, very helpful and knowledgable. Just perfect! Location near museums and great shopping.
oldfashoned style and elegance , pure class will go back
Mostly the great service and courtesy offered by the hotel staff then the amazing location.
I found everything about the hotel superb, the rooms were delightful, the staff fantastic, the room service efficient, food arrived piping hot and freshly cooked, charming and reminicent of how hotels used to be run properly,..i most definately will stay again, and have no hesitation in recommending to friends etc, most certainly value for price.
Nice design and atmosphere, breakfast.
It seems that we have been settled in a lower category room upon arrival, though we had booked Deluxe. After complaints, next day they upgraded it for free, not confessing verbally to have committed the goof.
It is a luxuriously appointed building with great furniture and pictures (as a cartoonist I appreciated the signed cartoons) I love it because it has an air of Mary Poppins, the windows are real wooden sash windows overlooking a wrought iron fenced garden graced with a London Plane tree, the location is wonderfully free of post war architecture, you can wonder around in a state of visual pleasure during the short stroll to Harrods. The staff are delightful and pleased to help in any way. I had a personal best cooked breakfast here, the fat had been cooked crisply and perfectly all along despite being crinkly and without overdoing the meat - we stayed over Christmas and were delighted to receive a lovely gift each in a stocking left for us. I would like to consider it a second home in London if only I could afford to come every few weeks.
Excellent location, a beautiful boutique hotel, 5 minutes walk from Harrods. Very small, but elegantly furnished room. The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Went for my husbands 60th birthday, a lovely treat, but expensive. Would love to return.
the details: the complementary fruit and water, the television in the bathroom, the night illumination in the bathroom, the lit candle in the bathroom upon arrival, the complementary drink at the bar, the decor of the room, the friendliness of the staff. A great experience overall.
Personal service; location
Room lacked a full length mirror; a mirror adjacent to a powerpoint. These issues were resolved.
